Membership

Application Process & Requirements

Membership is open to Georgetown Univ. (GU) faculty whose research has a metabolomics component
Affiliate membership is open to GU staff and postdoctoral fellows, as well as members of other local universities
Membership requests will be reviewed and decided on by the CMS Advisory Committee. A decision will be communicated via email within 3 weeks of receipt
Membership status will be reviewed every three years to ensure the member’s participation in the CMS and their academic interests warrant continued membership

Expectations of Members

Actively support and participate in Center-sponsored research seminars and opportunity to attend annual research retreat
Engage in discussion regarding the creation of new, collaborative research programs
Provide information on metabolomics related publications, research grants, and research training activities to the Center on an annual basis
While not mandatory, members are encouraged to cite their CMS affiliation in publications and research presentations, OR list in their acknowledgements
Members are encouraged to provide feedback and can be occasionally invited to attend Advisory Board meetings to discuss their feedback

Actively support and participate in Center-sponsored research seminars

Benefits of Membership

Interact in an environment that will support and foster interdisciplinary basic, clinical and/or translational research in metabolomics
Eligibility for the CMS sponsored research pilot grant program for GU members
Provide and receive administrative and technical support for metabolomics related grant submissions
Receive Center Newsletter and provide opportunities to showcase metabolomics research
