  • Fornace Labs

    Albert J. Fornace Jr, MD, a tenured professor in the departments of Biochemistry, Oncology, and Radiation Medicine and the first recipient of the Molecular Cancer Research Chair, was recruited to Georgetown in 2006 from the Harvard School of Public Health, where he was the director of the John B. Little Center for the Radiation Sciences and Environmental Health, as well as a member of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard NIEHS Center for Environmental Health. Earlier he led the Gene Response Section at National Cancer Institute at the NIH in Bethesda, MD. He is an internationally recognized expert in stress-signaling mechanisms.
